The previous owners had done us the solid of updating the main bathroom, so this room was not a total gut job like the master bathroom was -- however, we did still enact some changes. By way of friendly reminder, here was the listing photo of the main bathroom:

Not sure how much this comes through in the listing picture, but the bathroom was only part way painted. It is most noticeable by looking at the line underneath the towel rack that hangs above the toilet.
Now, on to the fun stuff -- here is what we did:
-We painted the ceilings, walls, and trim.
-We replaced the toilet with a newer, taller, more comfortable model.
-We replaced the cultured marble countertop, the faucet, and the hardware.
-We sanded and white waxed the vanity cabinet.
-We replaced the mirror, hung some wall decor, and added a handy combination shelf/ towel rack.
The floor is (weirdly) granite tile. We may some day replace that but for now it stays with no imminent plans for a change.
I took some pics during the vanity cabinet update. We didn't care for the very orange look, but the cabinet was in good shape and we decided to keep it.
Pro tip 1: As you remove your drawer faces, be sure to label them so you know which ones go where when it comes time to put them back on.
Pro tip 2: Before you begin sanding anything, verify that the material is real wood. On the front of this cabinet everything is/ was real wood, but the side panel was some sort of veneer something or other and we ended up having to replace the side panel after sanding gone awry.

Just another shot of our orange drawer fronts.

We used a hand held orbital sander for most of the sanding work and then applied this minwax product. The sanding really helped to remove the orange and the Minwax gave the cabinet that faded beachy wood look we were hoping for. The black hardware also really pops if-I-do-say-so-myself.

The original cultured marble top was a blue-ish variable color, but it had to go. Since there is already blue granite tile on the floor, the old top was competing and just looked bleh. Also, since we do have hard minerals in our water, it just wasn't in the best shape either.
At our old home, I had replaced a builder grade vanity top with quartz in our half bath and I just love the durability of quartz in a bathroom. I decided to upgrade to a white quartz top to give the space a fresh face lift. I have no regrets.

The vanity top is 43x22, which means there isn't a lot of room for all of the daily items you need on the vanity and we don't have any storage outside of the vanity drawers. To give ourselves some extra space, we added a combination shelf/ hand towel holder that now houses my face cleanser and some daily use moisturizers. I like the function and the price point was just a few dollars higher than a plain towel holder.
Someday, I hope to replace the vanity light fixture with something different, the current one just doesn't seem to "go" anymore -- but for now we will leave sleeping dogs lie.

Again, in keeping with the idea of having some additional storage, we also added a towel rack on the wall just beside the shower. I'll swap the picture below someday once those frames have been mounted in their proper location.
